Pick
Three horses in the exact 1-2-3 order
Minimum ticket
$0.50 (sometimes $1)
Scope
One race
How it works
Significantly harder than the exacta, but pays exponentially better. Box variants cover all 6 orders for 6× the base. The classic Triple Crown bet. Derby trifectas regularly pay over $1k for a $1 ticket because the 20-horse field makes upsets common.
Where to bet
US pari-mutuel wagering goes through licensed operators. TVG, owned by FanDuel, and TwinSpires, owned by Churchill Downs, are the two largest US dedicated racing platforms. Caesars and DraftKings carry horse racing in licensed states alongside their main sportsbook product.
